Eclipse

Eclipse is an eleven-piece band with a puppetmaster, built around one thing: playing Pink Floyd the way Pink Floyd played it while recreating the exact experience of a Pink Floyd concert for the audience.

Eclipse doesn't cover the songs — they recreate them exactly, note for note, in painstaking detail, because the Floyd audience knows the difference. Three guitarists, two keyboardists, three female vocalists, a saxophonist, a bassist and a drummer, all virtuosos in their own right: the personnel a Floyd catalog actually requires. Money, Time, Us and Them, Dogs of War, Learning to Fly, Another Brick in the Wall: the songs arrive at full width, with the harmony stacks, the sax solos and the sound design intact.

Two large puppets work the room alongside the band, one of them a giant inflatable pig flown out over the audience by a master puppeteer — staged in the house, not on the deck, so it plays to the whole room.

Eclipse is produced by Artists Alive, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded by artists for the benefit of children's music, visual and dramatic arts. Proceeds from every date go back into children's music education — a line worth putting in your program.

This group truly lives and breathes Floyd — and rock and roll as a whole. Pink Floyd's music is recreated with remarkable passion and meticulous attention to detail.
